The End of Days? Watch The Signs
The coming of the day of the Christ!
Part 2 of 4 [The Heavens]

This is the part 2 of a 4 part series, where I look into different aspects of the End of Days:

It’s long because I want to reach the seriousness of the day and to talk with you about what’s most important in all our lives. So let us be careful so we don’t miss it: our names not written in Lamb’s book of Life, caught with our work undone, or our souls not being born again.

Often when we talk about the “Last Days” many people try to go beyond what they can see. Some may call it another dimension. Some call it the Spiritual realm. Others may not try to name it at all and just say “Just believe it’s there.” In a thought they all may be true. It’s a world that is as physical as our own, but yet as spiritually built as the God who built it. It is above the consciousness of man yet it coexists around us everyday. It is the gateway through which the angels of God are sent to help serve the servants of God, so that we all play our part in worshipping the Father. We were separated from it with the fall of Adam, whom walked with God, but even men of old such as Nimrod up to our current NASA astronauts have tried to reach it. This place was revealed in a dream that Jacob dreamt in Genesis 28:12, “and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.” Many may not know it, but this place actually has a name. It is called Heaven.

You may have only thought about Heaven when you think about where do we go after we die, but Heaven is more than that. According to scripture it is God’s Throne, “Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. [Isaiah 66:1]” It is the central place of all existence, therefore making Heaven precedent in understanding what’s about to take place in the Last Days. Remember in the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth [Gen. 1:1]. So as much as we read about the things that are taking place on earth, we now dive into a realistic look at what things are taking place in the heavens concerning the Last Days. It is a term not meant for the end of time, only for the last days of the earth, before Judgment, where the judgment of God will pour out on man, or as the scripture talks about “The Armageddon.” [Rev. 16:16]

To take a look at what is going on in the heavens regarding the last days, you first have to pull out your bibles. Starting from the book of Matthew 24, Christ talks about what is known as the Signs of the Times and the Second Coming. Then suddenly in verse 29 we see a direct merger of the events in earth from Matthew 24:1-29 and the events that are in heaven in Revelation 1:1-6:12. If this were a video timeline, you would see these two scriptures running parallel to each other, seemingly on a course for a train wreck of events. But these two scriptures are a cause and effect of one another: the Heavens affecting what was about to take place on the Earth. These events are known as the opening of the Seven Seals. These are the seals of God that were in a book in heaven that only the Lamb of God could open. “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.” — “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” [Rev. 5:1 & 5].

The opening of the seven seals is one of the most influential actions that takes place regarding the end of times. In fact they set the order. The opening of the first six seals sets in the heavens the release of angels to affect the events on earth. So therefore the things we see on earth for the end times are reaction to the results of the times that have already taken place in the heavens.

The First and Second Seal

When the first two seals were broken in heaven, the angels of God were ordered to go conquer the earth and take peace from it. Now notice as this is taking place, this goes directly to what Jesus Christ told His disciples the first signs of the end would be: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

The Third and Fourth Seal

Then as the third and fourth seals were broken, Famine and Desolation and Death followed, just as Christ said the next things would be: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilence, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” [Matthew 24: 6-8]. It goes on and on after this all the way up until the sixth seal.

The Sixth Seal

In numeric definitions “6” is the number of man. On the sixth day God created man, the number of the Anti-Christ is “666,” etc. The generational years between the first Adam and today are six thousand, according to scripture, and Peter reminds us to “not be ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” [2 Peter 3:8]. This scripture is here for a reason, so it was only fitting that after the sixth seal was broken we see the actual second coming of the Christ and the rapture of man. The lines between the heavens and the earth are no longer blurred and man’s eyes are opened. And according to scripture, “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” Now we prepare for the rapture.

The Seventh Seal

Now when the Seventh Seal is broken, herein lies the second coming of Christ. This is where Matthew 24:29-31 and Revelation 8 merge. After the last seal is broken, we see the angels of God preparing in the heavens. While on Earth the scripture reads, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of Heaven to the other.” This the time, according to Matthew 13 in the parable of the wheat and the tares, that God himself will separate those of us who are born-again from those who rejected His Word.

In the part 3 of the next issue, I will deal with how, in these last days according to the Word of God, The Earth is groaning, waiting for the righteousness of man.
